Projects and improvements
Since our club is run entirely by volunteers, we’re always working on projects and field maintenance. Here are a few of the things we are interested or have in progress:
Concrete field #4
The members of the Newark Rod & Gun Club are interested in concreting field #4. This is the main skeet field that is favored by most. Concreting a skeet field is a smart long-term investment that improves safety, durability, and overall performance. A concrete surface provides stable, even footing for shooters, reducing the risk of slips and injuries in wet or muddy conditions. It minimizes dust and erosion, lowers ongoing maintenance costs, and ensures consistent shooting conditions year-round. Additionally, a concreted field enhances the professional appearance of the facility and increases its usability in all weather, making it more attractive for competitions and regular club events.
